Mini-Review: The Redemption of Callie and Kayden by Jessica Sorensen

The Redemption of Callie and Kayden was a book that I had been meaning to get to for a while after finishing The Coincidence. Like The Coincidence, it definitely pulled on my heartstrings. It takes a lot for a book to make me cry, but this book did just that, multiple times. I haven’t read anything quite this deep and heartbreaking in a while. Callie and Kayden are two of my favorite characters that have ever been written because they are real. They are real and they hurt and they love and they make mistakes. Their journeys are inspiring and I loved being able to tag along with them as they experience the things that they experience. In this novel, we also see both of their points of view which makes things insightful. Kayden definitely took the brunt of the emotional pain that was in this novel and my heart absolutely broke for him. He was feeling all sorts of things, including an immense sense of loneliness. I loved Callie’s character for refusing to give up on him. They had the ability to heal each other and I can’t wait to see just how much they do in the rest of the novels.
