Review: Whispers at Moonrise by C.C. Hunter

Favorite Quote(s): “John rose to his feet and apologized to Holiday. Her mom seethed. Her dad tried to talk to her seething mom. Holiday tried to touch everyone. Burnett continued to glare green daggers at John, proving how hard it was for a vampire to accept an apology. Not that she blamed him. Kill him. Kill him. She cheered the vampire on. Lucas hadn’t stopped scowling at Derek and Derek hadn’t stopped ignoring Lucas.” Favorite Character: Kylie. She’s just a strong character. First Line: “Kylie Galen stood on the porch outside the Shadow Falls office, panic stabbing at her sanity.” My Musings: Whispers at Moonrise was another great installment in the Shadow Falls Series. In this novel, we follow Kylie in her search to find out what exactly she is, and what her father meant when he told her that she was a chameleon. Hunter’s writing in this novel was great, just as the previous books. Hunter’s writing was descriptive and personable, and it enabled the reader to relate directly with Kylie. I really enjoyed Kylie’s character. She’s strong willed and determined to find out what she is. She makes sacrifices for this information, and yet she plows on.
