Title: Kiss Me Author: Jillian Dodd Series: The Keatyn Chronicles #2 Publication Date: November 28th, 2012 I’ve always written scripts for my perfect life. But no way could I have ever scripted this. My life is so far from perfect, it’s not even funny. All because of a stalker. I’m at a boarding school, where I have to lie about who I am. I can’t see my family. I’m tutoring a hottie god that tortures me with his smile. The most popular girl already hates me. But there’s this boy. This hot, sweet, sexy boy. So I’m going to stop trying to script my life and just live it. Because who knows how long I have left. The image you present to the world, and the you that you are at home. Mom told me the other day that it doesn’t matter what everyone thinks. It only matters what the people you love think.’” “You can’t fully love anyone until you learn to love yourself.” Favorite Character: Riley. Or Aiden…they’re both super adorable! First Line: “I float my way to French class on cloud nine.” My Musings: I’ve been following this series now for a while, and I must say […]

Favorite Quote(s): “‘At some point in their life, every person has to strike out on their own.’” “‘A relationship should be defined by your feelings not by a status.’” Favorite Character: Riley. Although we don’t see much of him, he’s just appealing to me. I’d love a best friend like that. First Line: “‘Keatyn baby, come see The Cushman,’ a tipsy Brandon Cushman says to me.” My Musings: Stalk Me was definitely an interesting read. I’ve never read anything like it before. The novel follows Keatyn Douglas, daughter of famous actress Abby Johnson, as she battles through high school life and love. There were some things that I didn’t like about this novel, and there were some things that I did like. Overall, although it was not the best novel I’ve ever read, it was a pretty good read. I cannot deny that the book kept me laughing! Keatyn, albeit naive and somewhat stupid, had some pretty entertaining thoughts, as well as entertaining actions. For example: “Damn Disney, and all their happily-ever-after, unrealistic, bullshit stories.” “This laugh is deep and sexy. It’s kind of a growl. Grrr, baby, grrr.” I mean, who wouldn’t laugh at that? However, Keatyn’s character as a whole didn’t do it for me. I hate to say it, but she was pretty irritating; she was like a ping pong ball bouncing between different guys. And the […]
