Review: More by Clare James

Check out my thoughts on Before You Go (Before You Go #1) Favorite Quote(s): “That’s the thing—your heart can be bleeding on the inside and nobody knows. You’re just expected to get on with it—even though it burns like a son of a b*tch.” “I sigh at the cutest scene in my living room. Foster is curled up on the couch with a big bowl of popcorn watching Ratatouille. The big, tough man.” Favorite Character: Tabby. First Line: “I bite my lip when his tattoo peeks out from under his shirt.” My Musings: Clare James seems to have a penchant for having beautiful covers. So after I finished Before You Go, which I absolutely loved, I just had to give her newest novel, More, a try. After reading about the novel, I saw that it followed Tabby’s best friend, Jules. I was ecstatic to read more about Jules as a person, as well as to have my Tabby and Noah fix. More, as stated above, follows the life of Jules, Tabby’s best friend. Sometimes all we have is right here, right now.’” “‘With books, it’s not a matter of being appropriate,’ he continues. ‘It’s a matter of what speaks to you and if you can learn something, be entertained, lose yourself for a while, find comfort, get mad—’” Favorite Character: Noah. Le sigh. First Line: “Most people think he broke me the night it happened.” My Musings: The reason that this book caught my eye was the amazing cover. Seriously, I love it. So I was ecstatic when Clare James gifted me a copy to review! Unfortunately, life caught up with me, and I’ve just now had the time to read this novel. But oh my, I wish that I was able to get to it sooner! This novel follows the life of Tabby, as she institutes operation Take back that Night. So she’s decided that in order to heal, she has to have a one night stand. She has to be in control. And then she meets Noah Adler. After Noah wiggles his way into her life and her heart, Tabby realizes that it’s okay to let someone take control every once in a while. I absolutely loved Tabby’s character. Her need for control is something that is familiar […]
