Favorite Quote(s): “‘What did I tell you? Mr. Fantastic reappeared in the doorway, dark eyes alight with amusement. ‘Much cleaner than a fire extinguisher, and no need for an incident report.’ My jaw dropped. No indicent report? First Line: “Death is a lot like prom—loud, overdone, and although the guy you came with was cool, you never know who’ll end up taking you home.” My Musings: I’ve had this novel sitting in my kindle app for a while now. I got it on Netgalley, but then got completely swamped. So when I finally got the time to read it, I was so excited. The synopsis sounded amazing, and I loved the concept of angelbloods. And so I dove in with high expectations, and I wasn’t disappointed. Amelie Bennett is a trouble maker. An angel-blood, Amelie is always using her Channeling powers to execute pranks. When professors at her school begin dying, of course Amelie is snooping to see what’s happening. When Jackson Smith-Hailey comes as the substitute for one of the late professors, Amelie and he have an instant connection with each other.
