First Line: “The moment I laid my eyes on him, I knew he was trouble.” My Musings: I absolutely adored Denise Grover Swank’s Off the Subject series, so when I saw this novel on Netgalley, I couldn’t help but request it. Although it was a completely different genre than the Off the Subject series, I knew that it wouldn’t let me down. The Curse Keepers has a very interesting premise: a curse that was set long ago, that resulting in the disappearance of the Roanoke colony. The curse has been passed down until the two curse keepers of the two lines met, and opened the gate.
