Favorite Quote(s): “Emily doesn’t say anything as she strokes my arm. This woman has the magic touch, I swear—whatever the problem is, she can fix it with just a hug or a pat on the hand.” Favorite Character: Emily. First Line: “I pull open the door to my two-bedroom apartment that lines the street of South Michigan Avenue.” My Musings: I’ve been eyeing this book ever since the cover was revealed. It is definitely one of the prettiest covers I’ve ever seen, and I was absolutely sold when I read the synopsis. So when I was sent an invitation of the blog tour, I just had to join! But this novel definitely wasn’t what I expected. This novel follows Phoebe as she travels from urban Chicago to Nashville for a new job. But of course, everything goes wrong. She’s in a car accident her first day in the new town, and then she’s taken under the wing of the parents of the guy she hit: Dean Montgomery. Dean may be hot, but him and Phoebe don’t get along from the start. But eventually, Phoebe learns that maybe this town isn’t as bad as she assumed. “The way that the heels accentuate my legs—and tone them with each stride—make me feel sexy and confident.
