Review: Lick by Kylie Scott

“Love isn’t always smooth or straightforward. It can be messy and painful … Doesn’t mean it isn’t still the most incredible thing that can ever happen to you.” This book has been sitting on my Netgalley account for a long while and I finally felt in the mood for a rocker romance. Evelyn Thomas never thought that her 21st birthday would be so wild—that is, until she wakes up in the morning with a brand new tattoo and a brand new husband. One that she doesn’t remember marrying, much less meeting. Uh-oh. And turns out that her new hubby is part of Stage Dive—a popular rock band. Of course, Evelyn freaks (like any sane person) but David isn’t happy that she doesn’t remember. She goes home, gets mobbed by the paparazzi, and you cue the drama! Lick was an entertaining read, most certainly. The two characters’ dialogue were funny and the supporting characters were very well written. The plot, for the most part, was well paced. It kept me interested and invested in how Evelyn and David’s story would turn out. Evelyn was an okay character for the most part.
