Blog Tour: Watercolor by Leigh T. Moore

Check out my review of Dragonfly (Dragonfly #1) Check out my review of Undertow (Dragonfly #2) Favorite Quote(s): “‘That dress is causing a shortage,’ he teased. ‘I was going to say just the opposite. Something’s on the rise…’ I winked getting into the car. He caught me, holding me against the car. ‘Girl, your mom’s already crying. Hearing you talk that way would only make it worse.’” “‘Where are you?’ Julian said in my ear, holding me close for a slow dance. His hands were at my waist, and mine were clasped behind his neck. A touch of spice accented his usual beach sen. I smiled. ‘Right where I want to be.’” Favorite Character: Julian. Hands down. First Line: “Two nights ago, I stood in Julian’s arms watching as the New Year’s Eve fireworks exploded in a brilliant finale.” My Musings: The Dragonfly series is definitely one of my favorite self published series. I positively fell in love with it from the very first book. And Leigh has been amazing with the short wait time between the books! I don’t know how I would have loved if I would have had to wait for longer than I did for the books after the first one. They’re seriously addictive. Watercolor picks up where Undertow left off, with Anna and Julian finally getting together. And boy was I happy. This book was all about […]

RR: Angels are a topic that is becoming more and more common among young adult and new adult fiction. What made you want to write about them in particular? MP: I have always been intrigued with the fantasy world. Angels, Vampires, Werewolves are all fascinating to me. When I first started writing Mystery Falls, I wasn’t sure which one of these forms Shadow would take. It was only as the first chapter began to unfold, when I decided that an angel best […]

Today on Rampant Readers we are excited to have Jordyn and Emrys from Jordyn and the Caverns of Gloom answering some questions for us! So let’s get to it, shall we? Hi Jordyn! Welcome to Rampant Readers. We’re super excited to have you here today! Can you introduce yourself a bit before we get started? Hi, my name is Jordyn. I’m an Aries. I enjoy long private walks on the beach. My turn-ons are cocky mysterious guys in leather jackets with dragon tattoos. My turn-offs are daemons, large killer bugs, and guys with too much body hair. So Jordyn, you took a five week long hiatus after you found out about your roots. Any places of interest that you visited that you’d like to tell us about? I stayed pretty much out of sight. Most of the places I went were secluded beach areas. I will say the beaches in Costa Rica are like Heaven on Earth. […]

2013 Debut Author Bash: Leah Rae Miller

Today on Rampant Readers we are excited to have Leah Rae Miller answering some questions for us! So let’s get to it, shall we? RR: Tell us a little bit about yourself. LM: I’m just a stay-at-home mom who loves to read and write. My favorite things to do other than that are marathoning TV shows, sleeping, and playing vintage video games with my husband and kids. RR: Can you tell us a little about your upcoming novel(s)? LM: I have a ton of stories in the works! There’s a couple of YA contemporary romances, a couple of YA paranormal, and I’m even working on writing comic book scripts. Nothing is set in stone yet, but keep an eye out! RR: Both Maddie and Logan are quite the adorkable characters—were they based off of your own personality? LM: I’m a big nerd so that’s definitely one of the similarities. Like Maddie, I do have to remind myself sometimes that it’s okay to just be me. And like Logan, I’m pretty unabashed about my love of comics and all things geeky. RR: If you could have any of your characters as a best friend, which one would you pick and why? LM: I would say Dan, but he’s actually based on two of my good friends so I already have him as a best friend really. I’m pretty lucky in the […]
