RR: Tell us a little bit about yourself.
VS: Hey there! Well, my name is Victoria and I’m the author The Space Between and the Eldaen Light Chronicles series. I hail from the Midwest, right smack in the middle of the nation’s corn belt. I enjoy reading and writing (of course :D), as well as extreme couponing. I’m also currently in my last semester of graduate school so I’ve got a lot going on!
RR: Can you tell us a little about your most recent novel(s)?
VS: My most recent releases were last month. One is book two of the Eldaen Light Chronicles entitled THE BRINGER’S QUEST, and the second is its novella INCANDESCENCE.
RR: What was your inspiration in writing The Eldaen Light Chronicles?
VS: My inspiration for this series comes from my love of action and adventure movies. Add a steamy romance in there and you have the Eldaen Light Chronicles series!
RR: Which character is most like your personality and how?
VS: Well, Ariel definitely has my sarcasm and wit. I’m also quite serious about school as she is.
RR: What is your favorite part of The Crimson Hunt and The Bringer’s Quest?
VS: Can I say Luca Grinaldi, lol. I really love that boy. His bravery and ability to stand up for what he believes in despite what it may cost him is one of my favorite things about him. And it helps that he is simply gorgeous ;D.
RR: What made you want to write in the New Adult genre?
VS: I’m a new adult myself. I started writing because I wanted to see more books about people my age. At the time, new adult didn’t exist and it kind of formed around me. I’m so grateful to see the category blossoming the way it has.
RR: How do you choose your character names?
VS: For this series, I used a lot of mythology when choosing names. I wanted their names to reflect who they were and their personalities. I found names that I loved, then spun them to create the names that I felt suited them.
RR: What was your most rewarding experience as a writer?
VS: Definitely the readers. I just love hearing from them. It’s so amazing that my words can reach people. I still can’t get over that.
RR: If you could have dinner with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be and why?
VS: Definitely Lucille Ball from I Love Lucy. She has always been an inspiration to me.
RR: If you couldn’t be an author, what would your ideal career be?
VS: A wedding planner. I had so much fun planning my own wedding and would love to do it for others professionally.
RR: If you could live in a book, what book would it be?
VS: Harry Potter. How awesome would it be to cast spells, right?
RR: Do you have any pets? What are their names?
VS: have two cats. Lily and Oliver. Though I love their names, I really wanted to change them to Luna and Artemis at first. A bit of a Sailor Moon tribute, lol.
RR: Favorite song?
VS: Right now, I’m really into K-POP so “Bad Boy” by Big Bang.
RR: Favorite food?
RR: Favorite Color?
RR: Favorite Candy?
VS: Toss up between Snickers and Twix.
RR: Favorite Animal?
RR: Coke or Pepsi?
RR: Chocolate or Vanilla?
RR: Day or Night?
RR: Winter or summer?
RR: Iphone or Android?
