Aiden St. Delphi will do anything to save Alex.

Even if it means doing the one thing he will never forgive himself for.

Even if it means making war against the gods.

Note: Elixir should be read after Deity due to it's spoiler nature.

Favorite Quote(s):

“Love is such a wild and reckless creature. It cannot be planned or threaded. It cannot be controlled. Love can coexist with Fate, or it can undo it. Love is the only thing more powerful than Fate.”

Favorite Character: Aiden. He’s so sweet!
First Line:

“Alex clenched the titanium bars honed by Hephaestus and Apollo, amber-colored eyes burning with hate.”

My Musings: I loved seeing what’s happening to Alex from Aiden’s POV. Aiden sincerely loves Alex and wants what’s best for her. He’s willing to make sacrifices he knows she will never forgive him for. He’s willing to see her in a cage. He’s willing to have she talk crap to him about how he’s not important to her. He’s willing to do anything for her. It’s amazing determination that he possesses. It’s true love that he feels for her. That much is evident through every part of this novella. Everything he does, everything he says, all goes back to Alex.

“Alex, you have to be in there. I know you. My
heart would not be beating if you were truly gone.”

“I swore to you that I wouldn’t let that happen, and I know I’ve failed you, but I’m not going to just give up, Alex. I’ll never give up on you.”

I am not concerned about Alex at all. I know that she is strong enough to push past Seth’s influence. It’s just going to take time. The new Alex we see in this novella, she loves Aiden, even though she doesn’t know it. The way she acts; it’s just that apparent. This novella was a great opportunity to delve deeper into Aiden and Alex’s relationship. And it’s a truly beautiful thing, created by a writer who creates beautiful works.
