Will love conquer all?
Nora and Patch thought their troubles were behind them. Hank is gone and they should be able to put his ugly vendetta to rest. But in Hank's absence, Nora has become the unwitting head of the Nephilim and must finish what Hank began. Which ultimately means destroying the fallen angels - destroying Patch.
Nora will never let that happen, so she and Patch make a plan: lead everyone to believe they have broken up, and work the system from the inside. Nora will convince the Nephilim that they are making a mistake in fighting the fallen angels, and Patch will find out everything he can from the opposing side. They will end this war before it can even begin.
But the best-laid plans often go awry. Nora is put through the paces in her new role and finds herself drawn to an addictive power she never anticipated.
As the battle lines are drawn, Nora and Patch must confront the differences that have always been between them and either choose to ignore them or let them destroy the love they have always fought for.
“‘You’re mine, Angel. Every last piece of you. I won’t let anything change that.'”
Favorite Character: PATCH!!! He’s totally swoonworthy. And he’s a bad boy. ‘Nuff said (;
“I’m not a party girl.”
My Musings: Oh my goodness I cannot believe that it is over! And what a thrilling conclusion it was! I am saddened at the thought that I will not be reading anything else about our favorite fallen angel Patch, and his Nephiliim girl, Nora. The battle, the heartache, the death, the betrayals–all mixed up into what has been one of the best books I’ve ever read.
The Battle. My oh my! I knew it was coming, but I didn’t think it would be like this! Patch was AWOL, the battle was at an unexpected time, and was led by an unexpected person. Nora showed extreme bravery in leading the Nephilim; she battled the leader of the fallen angels and won. Through sheer perseverance she was able to conquer the evil, and eliminate Devil-craft once and for all.
The Heartache. If you’ve read this novel already, then you know what I mean when I say heartache. My heart broke when Patch disappeared. I was like:
But anyways! Imagine me when he came back. I was elated! However, the heartbreak that Nora experiences due to Scott was horrible. Which leads us to this:
The Death. Okay, yes, you’d expect people to die in battle correct? And I mean, plenty did, fallen angels and Nephilim both. However, it was one death that tore me apart in particular Now, I don’t want to give you the dirty, spoiler details, but this dude’s sacrifice broke my heart. I cried. I really did.
The Betrayals. All I can say without completely ruining the book for you is that people aren’t always what they seem; you can’t trust many people, especially if they seem kind of sketchy. That is all.
The plot twists in this novel were epic. They kept my head spinning–in a good way of course. Patch and Nora were adorable to fault as always, and we truly learn that love conquers all in this novel. I’m going to stop ranting now before I say too much. However, Finale was definitely the epic conclusion that I was looking for; and as the story of Patch and Nora finally came to a close, I can truly say that I reached peace. A very enthralling novel, Finale is a must read for all angel lovers.
