Evie's paranormal past keeps coming back to haunt her. A new director at the International Paranormal Containment Agency wants to drag her back to headquarters. The Dark Faerie Queen is torturing humans in her poisonous realm. And supernatural creatures keep insisting that Evie is the only one who can save them from a mysterious, perilous fate.
The clock is ticking on the entire paranormal world. And its fate rests solely in Evie's hands.
So much for normal.
“‘I kind of wish they’d shut up,’ Jack said. ‘Dude, true dat,’ Lend answered. Jack nodded solemnly. ‘For serious.'”
Favorite Character: Lend. I made a little acronym about him. See my musings for more details.
“Here’s the thing about dragons: I know absolutely nothing whatsoever about them.”
My Musings: What a great ending! I’m soooo disappointed that this story has come to a close. I personally loved everything about this series– the romance, the action, just everything! I actually cried when I finished; I was heartbroken that I don’t have anymore Evie and Lend to look forward to!
Just like the rest of this series, the plot was in-captivating White’s innovative idea on paranormals is what drew me in in the beginning, and boy did she ever live up to my expectations! There was literally never a dull moment, possibly in the entire trilogy! The writing its self was detailed and descriptive, and it made it easy for me to transport myself into Evie’s world (as well as Lend’s arms (;).
The characters were amazing. Evie’s character develops very much over the course of this series, and it was fun seeing her grow more serious and open up to love. Her longing for being normal was amazing; she would have given everything up for it. Her and Lend have to be my favorite literary couple, because they compliment each other so well. Lend is the kind of guy that I want in my life. Now I know that I say that for most of my literary crushes, but Lend is on the top three list. He was understanding and sweet, and only wanted what was best for Evie. They were absolutely adorable, and I’m glad that they got their happy ending. Here’s my acronym poem thingy that I made, dedicated to the dear Lend.
Lovable in every way,
Everthing he does is so adorable.
Nothing can take his amazing-ness away,
Don’t you wish that he was storable?
Yay for my bad poem skills! Now, there’s another character that I wanted to talk about, but I can’t without giving things away! But let’s just say, one of our favorite characters will be making her reappearance! And it was good to see her again! And finally Reth. Over the series I’ve had my doubts about this particular faerie, but I have to say that I do believe that he loves Evie. But enough about characters before I spoil everything!
Overall, this novel exceeded my expectations, and I look forward to anything else that White writes!
